Most people become eligible for Medicare at age 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period generally begins three months before the month you turn 65, includes your birthday month, and continues for three months afterward. If you are still working and covered by an employer health plan, different enrollment rules may apply. We can help you understand when you should enroll and how to avoid unnecessary penalties.
Original Medicare includes Part A for hospital coverage and Part B for medical coverage. You may also choose a separate Part D prescription drug plan and Medicare Supplement Insurance.
Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, is offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. These plans provide your Part A and Part B benefits and often include prescription drug coverage and additional benefits. We can help you compare both approaches based on your doctors, prescriptions, healthcare needs, and budget.
Medicare Supplement Insurance works alongside Original Medicare to help pay certain out-of-pocket expenses that Medicare does not pay. Depending on the plan, this may include deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. Medicare Supplement plans do not replace Original Medicare—they supplement it.
You may still want to consider Part D prescription drug coverage even if you currently take few or no medications. Going without Part D or other creditable prescription drug coverage for too long can result in a late-enrollment penalty if you decide to enroll later. We can help you determine whether your existing drug coverage is considered creditable.
Yes. When comparing Medicare plans, we can review your doctors, hospitals, preferred pharmacies, and prescription medications. Provider networks, drug formularies, and costs can vary by plan, so this is an important part of choosing coverage.

Choosing the right Medicare plan can significantly impact your healthcare costs, provider access, and coverage benefits. With enrollment deadlines and multiple plan choices available, having a knowledgeable local advisor on your side can make all the difference.
